China and Nepal Sign Memorandum of Understanding on the Translation and Publication of Classic Works, Opening a New Stage of Cultural Exchange and Mutual Learning between the Two Countries

On September 25th, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council and Prime Minister Prachanda of Nepal jointly witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the National Press and Publication Administration of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation of the Government of Nepal on the Translation and Publication of Classic Works at the Great Hall of the People. Vice Minister of the Central Propaganda Department, Zhang Jianchun, signed on behalf of the National Press and Publication Administration of China, and Nepalese Ambassador to China, Shresta, signed on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation of Nepal. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Translation and Publication of Classic Works between China and Nepal reflects the continuous deepening of publishing exchange and cooperation between China and Nepal, opening a new stage of cultural exchange and mutual learning between the two countries. Next, the National Press and Publication Administration of China and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation of Nepal will jointly organize well-known publishing institutions in the two countries to translate and publish classic works, and use books as a medium to build a bridge between the Chinese and Nepalese people to know each other and promote the exchange and integration of Chinese and Nepalese civilizations.
