China has published 16349 papers in these journals, accounting for 30.3% of the world's total, ranking first in the world for the first time. At the same time, the report shows that China's proportion of hot papers in the world continues to grow, and the number of hot papers in the world ranks first. The number of highly cited papers continues to rank second in the world, with a 3.5% increase in the proportion of the world's total. It is reported that papers published in the past two years have received a large number of citations in the past two months, and papers that have been cited in the top 1 ‰ of this discipline are called hot papers. Papers from various disciplines that have been cited in the top 1% of the world from 2013 to 2023 are referred to as highly cited papers.
