According to Liu Shuang, an assistant researcher at the National Museum of Natural History, the biggest attraction of this exhibition is the famous prehistoric marine reptile - ichthyosaurus. As an animal that appeared in the early Triassic period, ichthyosaurs gradually evolved into a large and legendary family over the next 100 million years, and eventually became extinct 93 million years ago. The ichthyosaurus and its accompanying Guizhou dragon, fish, and sea lilies are precious relics in the history of life evolution on Earth. As products of ecological and environmental changes, their evolution, development, and extinction are closely related to environmental changes, and are a vivid and vivid history of the interaction between organisms and the environment.
