From September 17th to 18th, the 20th China ASEAN Expo, China ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, and China ASEAN Commercial Law Forum opened in Nanning, Guangxi. Ge Xiaoyan, a member of the Party Group and Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, attended and delivered a speech at the forum. Ge Xiaoyan, on behalf of China's highest prosecutor, warmly congratulated the holding of the China ASEAN Commercial Law Forum and attended the unveiling ceremony of the China ASEAN Prosecutorial Information Exchange Center. Ge Xiaoyan pointed out that since March 2020, the Supreme People's Procuratorate has gradually carried out pilot work on compliance reform of enterprises involved. Over three years of practice have proven that compliance reform of enterprises involved is an important measure to equally protect various market entities and create a legal business environment. It has played a positive role in serving and ensuring the sustainable and healthy development of the economy and society, and has been widely recognized by local governments and the business community. The procuratorial organs will strengthen communication and collaboration with relevant departments, promote cross-border legal exchanges and cooperation, and promote the compliance reform of the involved enterprises to go further and better. Ge Xiaoyan stated that the Supreme Procuratorate has always attached great importance to and promoted friendly exchanges between the procuratorial organs of China ASEAN member countries. Since the establishment of the mechanism of the China ASEAN member state prosecutor general meeting in 2004, it has successfully held twelve sessions and achieved fruitful results. In September 2016, the Supreme People's Procuratorate approved the construction of the official website of the China ASEAN Member State Prosecutors General Conference and the China ASEAN Member State Prosecutors Exchange and Training Base in Guangxi, as well as the establishment of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Procuratorate's ASEAN Judicial Affairs Office. This provided a convenient platform for continuously deepening communication and cooperation between the procuratorial organs of China ASEAN Member States and achieved practical results. The Supreme Procuratorate will take the construction of the China ASEAN Prosecutorial Information Exchange Center as a new opportunity to further deepen communication and cooperation between the procuratorial organs of China ASEAN member countries, and contribute procuratorial strength to building a closer China ASEAN community with a shared future.
