Zimbabwe's President elect Mnangaguwa is sworn in

Harare News: Zimbabwe's elected President Mnangaguva was sworn in on the 4th in the capital Harare, starting his second five-year term. The inauguration ceremony of President Mnangaguva was held at the National Stadium on the same day, with multiple African dignitaries or representatives attending. During his inaugural speech, Mnangaguva stated that in his new term, he will accelerate rural development, improve people's quality of life, consolidate national food security, continue to promote modernization of infrastructure and public utilities, and enhance the country's manufacturing capacity and energy supply. On August 26th, the Zimbabwe Election Commission announced that current President Mnangaguva was re elected as President with 52.6% of the vote in the presidential election. Mnangaguva, who is currently 80 years old, served as the President of Zimbabwe in November 2017 and was successfully re elected for a five-year term in the presidential election held on July 30, 2018.
