The latest 52nd Statistical Report on the Development of China's Internet shows that as of June this year, the number of internet users in China reached 1.079 billion, an increase of 11.09 million compared to December last year, and the internet penetration rate reached 76.4%. Behind the continuous growth of internet users, there are multiple economic and social implications. Currently, the internet has become an important force in creating new economic drivers and promoting high-quality economic development. According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in 2022, the contribution rate of China's network economy index to the growth of the total index of new driving forces for economic development exceeded 90% for the first time. The Internet and its derivative emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence are constantly giving birth to new industries, formats, and business models. The rapid growth of internet users has put forward new requirements for the efficiency and level of government services. Government services should keep up with the times and meet the needs of netizens. Wherever people are, government services should be extended. In recent years, people have become increasingly accustomed to doing things online, and online government services have made it convenient for the masses, improved efficiency, and gained popularity among the masses. In order to further improve the quality of online government services and better promote economic and social development, governments at all levels and relevant departments need to continue to deepen their understanding of the functions of the Internet, continuously expand intelligent and convenient service methods, use network thinking to provide good government services, and enhance the experience of Internet services and user satisfaction.
