According to Singapore's Straits Times, this is the first time that the two militaries have resumed this bilateral exercise called "cooperation" after the COVID-19 epidemic. According to a press release released by the Singapore Ministry of Defense on the 28th, the exercise will begin on September 1st and last for 14 days. The focus of the exercise is on urban counter-terrorism. Other projects include live fire shooting with small arms and team cohesion. The Ministry of Defense of Singapore stated that the Singapore Armed Forces and the People's Liberation Army of China have held their first bilateral army "cooperation" exercise since 2009, and this year is the fifth.
