In July, a total of 3064 problems were investigated and dealt with nationwide, accounting for 87.9% of the total number of formalistic and bureaucratic issues investigated and dealt with. The three types of issues investigated include illegal receipt and delivery of rare and precious products and gifts, illegal eating and drinking, and illegal distribution of subsidies or benefits, accounting for 41.2%, 25.0%, and 14.5% of the problems of hedonism and extravagance, respectively. From the perspective of investigation and punishment levels, in July, a total of 1 case of provincial and ministerial level leadership cadres, 55 cases of prefecture level leadership cadres, 602 cases of county level leadership cadres, and 7499 cases of township level and below cadres were investigated and punished nationwide. Among them, the issue of cadres at the township level and below accounted for 91.9% of the total number of problems investigated and dealt with.
