After arriving at the caring hospital, doctors provided him with psychological treatment and often provided him with life education and psychological comfort. Mr. Li, who was once a professor at a university in Beijing, also met a student he had taught at the hospital. This student suffers from cerebral thrombosis and was paralyzed when admitted two months ago. After comprehensive treatment, he is now able to walk and do exercises and sing every day. In 2019, the National Health Commission and other departments jointly issued the "Guiding Opinions on Establishing and Improving the Elderly Health Service System", proposing to strengthen hospice care services, establish and improve a multidisciplinary service model for hospice care, provide pain and other symptom control, comfortable care and other services for end-stage patients, and provide psychological support and humanistic care for patients and their families. In recent years, multiple cities have launched pilot programs for palliative care. In 2022, Beijing issued the "Implementation Plan for Accelerating the Development of Hospice Care Services", which specifies the goal of "establishing at least one hospice care center in each district by 2025, and providing no less than 1800 beds for hospice care services in the city".
