On the 27th, China Three Gorges Group announced that on August 25th, the world's largest clean energy corridor consisting of six cascade power stations, namely Wudongde, Baihetan, Xiluodu, Xiangjiaba, Three Gorges, and Gezhouba, had a daily power generation capacity of 1.468 billion kilowatt hours, setting a new historical high. Powerful green and clean electricity is transmitted to various receiving areas, making positive contributions to China's power safety and supply guarantee, as well as the green and low-carbon transformation and development of energy. Recently, the upper reaches of the Yangtze River basin have experienced a heavy rainfall process, while the electricity load in the power receiving area remains high. Cascade power stations are facing the dual challenge of flood control and supply guarantee. Three Gorges Group Yangtze River Power has carefully managed six cascade power stations, strictly implemented relevant regulations from the Water Resources Minister, the Yangtze River Committee, the State Grid, and Southern Power Grid, increased the outflow flow of the Three Gorges power station, improved the peak power generation capacity of the Three Gorges power station, and further intensified scheduling discussions, made good hydrological and meteorological forecasting, and rolled optimization scheduling plans. On July 25th, the daily peak shaving of six cascade power plants exceeded 33 million kilowatts, breaking the historical record for the third time; From August 8th to 25th, cascade power stations generated over 1 billion kilowatt hours of electricity per day for 18 consecutive days, providing stable and reliable clean electricity to the receiving areas. The person in charge of Yangtze River Power stated that Yangtze River Power will closely monitor the recent heavy rainfall process in the Yangtze River Basin and the changes in the supply and demand situation in the power receiving areas, continue to make predictions and forecasts of water and rain conditions in the Yangtze River Basin, effectively provide flood control guarantees for the Yangtze River, and contribute clean energy to society.
