Mao Yu, Executive Deputy Director of the National Film Administration of China, said in his opening speech that Nigeria is an ancient civilization on the African continent, and its rich economic, social, and cultural resources provide an inexhaustible source of creativity for Nigerian filmmakers. I hope that China and Nepal can use this film festival as a starting point to continuously deepen exchanges and cooperation in the field of film, inject new momentum into the development of the global film market, and make new contributions to promoting the construction of a high-level community with a shared future for China and Africa. The Chairman of the Federal Arts and Culture Commission of Nigeria, Otumba Seton Ranseve, stated that both Nigeria and China have excellent traditional cultures. It is a great pleasure to take this film festival as an opportunity to bring the people of Nigeria and China together through the language of film, which is a common language in the world. This four day film festival will showcase 11 excellent domestic films, including "Peak Explosion", "White Snake: Love", and "Enthusiasm". This event is hosted by the National Film Administration of China and the Consulate General of China in Lagos, organized by the China Film Archive and the Guangdong Provincial Film Bureau, and co organized by Southern Newspaper Media Group.
