On the 13th, Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao and Angolan Minister of Economic Coordination Masano jointly chaired the second meeting of the China Angola Economic and Trade Cooperation Steering Committee in Luanda, the capital of Angola. Both sides jointly announced the completion of negotiations on the China Angola Bilateral Investment Agreement and exchanged in-depth views on further deepening practical cooperation in areas such as trade and investment, infrastructure, industrial development, and human resource development. Wang Wentao stated that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China Angola economic and trade cooperation has achieved fruitful results. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Angola. China is willing to take this opportunity to plan for the next stage of bilateral economic and trade cooperation, enhance the level of trade and investment cooperation, consolidate the achievements of infrastructure cooperation, expand cooperation in energy and mining, manufacturing, agriculture and fisheries, and jointly promote the high-quality development of bilateral economic and trade cooperation, injecting new impetus into the development of China Angola strategic partnership. Masano stated that China is a trustworthy economic and trade partner of Angola. The Angolan side highly evaluates the achievements of cooperation between the two countries in trade, investment, infrastructure and other fields in recent years, and is willing to work together with China to further strengthen practical cooperation in the economic and trade fields between the two countries.
