Typhoon Kanu, the 6th typhoon of this year, landed from the southern coast of South Korea on the 10th and headed north, causing heavy rain in many places in South Korea, killing one person and emergency evacuation of tens of thousands of people. According to Yonhap News Agency, Typhoon "Kanu" made landfall in the coastal area of Gyeongsangnam do, South Korea at around 9:20 local time (8:20 Beijing time) and then moved northward. At 17:00, it moved to about 20 kilometers east of Chungju City in Gyeongsangnam do and traveled at a speed of 29 kilometers per hour, with a maximum wind speed of 86 kilometers per hour. Affected by the typhoon, heavy rainfall has occurred in many parts of South Korea, and some areas have been severely affected. According to the Central Disaster Safety Strategy Headquarters of South Korea, as of 11:00 pm on the 10th, more than 10000 people in 83 cities and districts (prefecture level) of 12 cities (provinces) in South Korea have urgently transferred and taken refuge. A man in Daegu City was caught in a river and died.
