Driving in an uninhabited area is fraught with dangers, and off-road crossing is not just about going if you want to

This summer, self driving tours have become a popular choice for many tourists. Among them, some tourists are not satisfied with regular self driving tours, but instead enter the rarely traveled and poorly protected off-road routes, resulting in multiple accidents. In late July, a self driving convoy passed through Lop Nur without approval, resulting in the loss of contact and the death of all four people. In early August, multiple tourists were trapped in Qinghai's uninhabited area, and it took nearly 18 hours for the police to locate all the tourists. In the eyes of many people, "unmanned area" is a word full of mystery. In modern times, where human activities cover the vast majority of the Earth, unmanned areas are endowed with endless imagination. Tourists who have lived in cities for a long time yearn to travel to uninhabited areas, not only because they often have magnificent natural landscapes and rich ecological resources, but also because the "unmanned" nature of uninhabited areas brings people a sense of freshness and excitement. However, the uninhabited areas in reality are not limited to romantic imagination. Due to the harsh natural environment, weak infrastructure, and distance from human settlements, unmanned areas can be described as perilous. After some tourists are in danger, they quickly face survival problems such as water and food shortages. In addition, unmanned areas often lack mobile phone signals, making it very difficult to seek help from the outside world. Driving into an unmanned area is likely to cause trouble. For this reason, although some routes for crossing uninhabited areas are well-known in outdoor circles, self driving entry is not legal. Some unmanned areas belong to the core scope of nature reserves, and entry by outsiders is strictly prohibited; Some uninhabited areas, although open to the outside world under certain conditions and within a certain range, must undergo strict approval and filing, and are never just about going. As early as November 20, 2017, Qinghai Kekexili, Xinjiang Alkin Mountain, and Tibet Qiangtang National Nature Reserve jointly issued a notice prohibiting all units or individuals from entering the reserve at will to carry out illegal crossing activities. The Xinjiang Luobupo Wild Camel National Nature Reserve Management Bureau has also issued multiple notices: all social organizations, units or individuals are strictly prohibited from entering the reserve to carry out tourism and exploration activities. Once discovered, they will be punished in accordance with the law, and if the circumstances are serious, criminal responsibility will be pursued. However, there are still some tourists who "know that there are tigers in the mountains and tend to travel on the Tiger Mountain". Some self driving tourists are not unaware of the danger of unmanned areas, and even understand that their behavior violates relevant management regulations. However, they are driven by a blind mentality and have a mentality of taking chances, obtaining a sense of excitement through illegal self driving. Their behavior is not only irresponsible for their own life safety, but also consumes public resources and puts rescue workers at risk in case of danger. In this regard, relevant departments need to strengthen management, especially to severely punish institutions and individuals who make profits by organizing unmanned driving in areas, and cut off the chain of illegal crossing from the source. For outdoor self driving activities, there should be both "blockage" and "relaxation". Being close to nature and experiencing nature is human nature, and some outdoor self driving routes bring tourists a sense of harvest that cannot be compared to conventional tourist attractions. The natural landscapes and wildlife along the self driving route make people intuitively feel the significant significance of ecological civilization construction, and the benefits generated by operating tourism projects can also promote better local protection of nature. As long as reasonable planning is carried out, ecological protection and human activities during the outdoor self driving process
