Lenovo has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Telecom Guangdong Branch (referred to as Guangdong Telecom). It is reported that both parties will leverage their respective advantages to promote the accelerated formation of computer network integration and data real integration, jointly build an intelligent ecosystem, and actively achieve comprehensive cooperation in various fields such as intelligent manufacturing, smart city platforms, smart education, smart parks, smart transportation, smart culture and tourism, in order to achieve intelligent transformation and upgrading of traditional businesses as well as breakthroughs in the integration of innovative businesses as soon as possible. Cui Zhanwei, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of China Telecom Guangdong Company, and Yang Xiaofeng, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager; Liu Jun, Executive Vice President and President of Lenovo Group in China, and Yuan Shuxin, General Manager of Lenovo China's Operator Industry Brigade, attended the event and witnessed the signing. At this signing meeting, both parties had in-depth discussions on how to improve customers' intelligent innovation experience and reached a high degree of agreement. Firstly, both parties will be clients of each other. Lenovo will continue to provide advanced devices such as PCs, servers, and storage, as well as solutions from Lenovo ServiceForce, Smart Cube, and Lenovo PCCW, fully supporting the business development of Guangdong Telecom. Guangdong Telecom provides products and services for Lenovo's parks and production bases in Guangdong. Secondly, both parties will fully leverage their respective advantages and work together to provide comprehensive intelligent solutions and services for consumer end users, small and medium-sized enterprise customers, and government enterprise customers. It is reported that Lenovo and Guangdong Telecom have always maintained close cooperation, and have a good foundation of cooperation in areas such as IT intelligent devices, HPC, telecom broadband+IT internal network overall operation and maintenance, and local education digitization. In 2022, Lenovo and Guangzhou Telecom jointly promoted the construction of the HPC project at South China University of Technology, and in 2023, they collaborated with Guangzhou Telecom Huangpu Company to pilot the provision of subscription based enterprise IT solutions.
