2023-08-07
Recently, during the 2023 National Literary Newspaper Alliance Member Conference and the "National Literary Newspaper Alliance Award" ceremony, the National Literary Newspaper Editor in Chief Forum was held in Datong, Shanxi. The attending editors of literary newspapers and magazines discussed topics such as exploring the "literary+" model and promoting literature to break through boundaries. Nine literary newspaper leaders shared their experience and insights in running the magazine. Zhang Shiqin, President of Shandong Provincial Literature Journal Society and Editor in Chief of Time Literature, believes that in order for literary newspapers to achieve "breaking the circle", they must firmly connect with the times and continuously surprise readers. Specifically, it is necessary to focus on highlighting advantages, developing in a staggered manner, building brands, achieving classics, breaking through circles, and expanding influence, striving to leave a literary imprint on the times. Chen Yajun, deputy editor in chief of "Ethnic Literature", explained the relationship between theme publishing and topic innovation around the implementation of the "New Era Mountain and Township Great Changes Creation Plan" by the Chinese Writers Association. She mentioned that the "New Era Mountain and Township Great Change Creation Plan" has put forward higher requirements for writers' cognitive height and writing level in terms of era connotation, ideological content, and artistic quality. In the process of determining the topic with the author, "Ethnic Literature" often provides the following three suggestions: focusing on the logical connection between history and reality, focusing on the complex patterns of human nature, and focusing on dialectical thinking in social practice. Liu Ting, Deputy Editor in Chief of Literature and Art Daily, demonstrated the necessity and possible path of the transformation of literary newspapers. She talked about the changes in living environment, reading needs and habits, as well as the changes in writing themes, writing methods, and even the writing population, which constitute the internal and external conditions for the urgent transformation of literary newspapers. In the process of transformation, literary newspapers must adhere to the uniqueness, timeliness, and aesthetics of literary content. When it comes to how literary communication integrates into the modern communication pattern, Chen Tao, the deputy editor in chief of People's Literature, believes that journalists should first have a sense of "integration", overcome the path dependence of past publication distribution, integrate the advantages of newspaper resources, and incorporate distribution factors and communication power into the entire distribution process. Secondly, we must adhere to our original characteristics and consolidate our existing positions. Thirdly, it is necessary to have the ability to "integrate", including the ability to cooperate with foreign countries, build communication matrices, respond quickly, and discover potential readers. Faced with the practical dilemma of transformation and breakthrough of literary newspapers and magazines, Liu Zhaohua, the editor in chief of "City" magazine, believes that the transformation of literary newspapers and magazines is not "genetically modified", but rather allows pure literary genes to use the power of transformation to radiate stronger and updated vitality of the times. Based on this, in order to achieve high-quality development, literary newspapers and magazines should highlight the leading and exemplary role of high-quality literature, creating a culture and providing soil for high-quality literary development. Kong Ping, the editor in chief of "Writer's Digest", introduced the experience and practices of "Writer's Digest" in recent years to promote the transformation and high-quality development of the publication based on its own advantages. In terms of attaching importance to the construction and innovation of communication means and accelerating media integration, the magazine has established and improved a multi integrated omni media pattern based on paper newspapers and dominated by WeChat official account, microblog, Today's Headlines, Tiktok, Kwai, video number, electronic newspaper and other channels. In recent years, the "Star" poetry magazine has focused on implementing the "poetry+" model, promoting the "breaking boundaries" of poetry works. The deputy editor in chief of the magazine, Tong Jian, introduced specific measures, including actively carrying out poetry activities to cultivate students
