In an exclusive interview, Venezuelan writer and international expert Rodriguez Grfenstein said that China's initiative to jointly build the "the Belt and Road" will help create a peaceful and healthy international environment and make positive contributions to the prosperity and development of the world. Since 2006, Gryffinstein has visited China 11 times, witnessing China's development achievements. As an expert in long-term research on China, Gryffinstein recently published his book "21st Century China: The Awakening of a Giant" in Spanish. He said that he hoped that starting with History of China and philosophy, more Latin American readers could understand the reasons for China's success in domestic and foreign affairs and how China plays an important role in today's world through this book. In the interview, the Venezuelan scholar specifically mentioned the "the Belt and Road" initiative. He believes that this initiative aims to connect regions such as Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America through cooperation projects, promoting trade and investment among countries. According to Chinese official data, since the initiative of jointly building the "the Belt and Road" was put forward ten years ago, it has attracted more than three quarters of the countries and 32 international organizations in the world to participate in it. It has boosted the investment scale of nearly trillion dollars, formed more than 3000 cooperation projects, created 420000 jobs for countries along the line, and helped about 40 million people out of poverty. Gerfinstein believes that the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" initiative has greatly promoted the construction of railways, roads, ports, airports, electricity, communications and other infrastructure in countries along the line, expanded the market scale and potential, and enhanced the industrialization and sustainable development capacity of countries along the line. He also stressed that the "the Belt and Road Initiative" is based on the principles of peaceful coexistence and equal dialogue, based on the complementarity of regional economies, and emphasized that all parties should learn from each other's strengths to complement each other's weaknesses, so as to benefit all parties, rather than cooperate by imposing conditions.
