1、 Muhammad Ilfan Ali, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the 31st Summer Universiade in Chengdu and visit China from July 25 to August 1, 2023. Recalling that the two sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Government of China and the Government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana on jointly promoting the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road on July 27, 2018, Guyana expressed its willingness to negotiate with China to jointly build the "the Belt and Road" cooperation plan. 6、 The Chinese side appreciates the constructive role played by the Guyanese side in regional and international issues, especially in areas such as food security, regional integration, and China Latin America cooperation, to President Ali. President Ali expressed to the Chinese side that he firmly believes that both developed and developing countries should focus on promoting food, climate, and energy security to promote sustainable development. Both sides recognize that global development initiatives can help achieve this goal. 7、 Given the positive role of infrastructure construction in promoting economic development and poverty reduction, both sides agree to expand cooperation in this field and are willing to actively explore the prospects of utilizing Chinese experience, technology, and financing for cooperation in the construction and development of key infrastructure projects. 8、 Both sides recognize the important value of trade and investment in deepening economic cooperation, and are committed to creating a good business environment and promoting bilateral trade and investment activities. Both sides agree to explore cooperation in fields such as agriculture, energy, minerals, manufacturing, and service industries. 9、 Both sides believe that the business community of China and Guyana plays an important role in promoting the economic development of both countries. Both sides encourage the business communities of both countries to further utilize investment opportunities and establish partnerships. 10、 Both sides reiterated their commitment to sustainable development and environmental protection, and pledged to deepen cooperation in areas such as forest conservation, biodiversity conservation, and the promotion of renewable energy. 11、 Both sides agree to expand cultural and educational cooperation, emphasizing the importance of cultural and educational exchanges. In order to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, both sides have decided to support cooperation between educational institutions of the two countries and promote
