According to data released by the China Association of Listed Companies on the 25th, the total dividends of A-share listed companies in each reporting period reached 2.13 trillion yuan in 2022. This is the first time that the total dividend amount has exceeded 2 trillion yuan since 2017. The Association of Listed Companies stated that in recent years, the awareness of cash dividend returns among listed companies has significantly increased, the amount of dividends has continued to increase, and the stability of dividends has been increasingly strengthened. According to statistics from the Listed Companies Association for each reporting period in 2022, 3446 listed companies in the domestic stock market have implemented (or announced) cash dividends (or contingency plans), accounting for 67% of the total number of listed companies in the entire market. There have been 2023, 1687, and 750 companies that have continuously distributed dividends in the past 3, 5, and 10 years, respectively. According to the type of holding, the total dividend amount of listed companies controlled by central enterprises in 2022 is 1.06 trillion yuan, accounting for nearly 50%.
