On July 12, 2023 China New Media Conference was held in Changsha, Hunan Province. Li Shulei, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and minister of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended and delivered a keynote speech. The conference was jointly organized by the All-China Journalists Association and the People's Government of Hunan Province, and more than 800 representatives from relevant central departments, provincial, district and municipal party committee propaganda departments, central and local news units, website platforms, journalism colleges and research institutions attended the conference.
