At the invitation of Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the Premier of the People's Republic of China, Manasseh Sogavare, Prime Minister of Prime Minister of Solomon Islands, paid an official visit to the China from July 9 to 15, 2023. The leaders of the two countries exchanged in-depth views on bilateral relations and issues of common concern, and reached important consensus. Both sides unanimously believe that since the establishment of diplomatic relations four years ago, China Exchange relations have developed rapidly and are at the forefront of China's relations with Pacific island countries. They have become a model of unity and cooperation, mutual assistance, and mutual benefit among developing countries. In order to further strengthen the strategic leadership of the China Institute relationship, both sides have decided to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership with mutual respect and common development in the new era. 1、 All sides spoke highly of China's historic achievements and changes in the decade of the new era, and believed that under the leadership of the CPC, China will comprehensively build itself into a powerful socialist modernization country and comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese path to modernization. China appreciates Solomon Islands' important achievements in developing economy, improving people's livelihood and maintaining stability under the leadership of Prime Minister Sogavare, and will continue to support Solomon Islands in achieving development, revitalization and long-term stability. We wish the host country a complete success in hosting the 17th Pacific Games. 2、 Both sides unanimously believe that all countries, regardless of size, strength, and wealth, are equal, and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of each country should be respected. China reiterates its firm support for the national construction process of the Solomon Islands and the choice of a development path that is in line with its national conditions, in order to safeguard national sovereignty, security, and development interests. Support China's stance on issues related to Hong Kong, Xinjiang, Tibet, and oppose any country using democracy and human rights as pretexts to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries. 3、 The two sides agreed to work together to forge a comprehensive strategic partnership of mutual respect and common development in the new era in an all-round way. ——We will jointly build the "the Belt and Road" in high quality, strengthen the docking of the "the Belt and Road" initiative with the Solomon Islands 2035 development strategy, and expand practical cooperation in a wide range of fields, including trade and investment, agriculture, forestry and fishery, rural development, infrastructure construction including natural disaster response, energy and minerals, information and communication, marine resource protection and development, finance, civil aviation, low-carbon and green development, and the digital economy. China will continue to provide assistance within its capabilities to Solomon Islands in achieving independent and sustainable development, including supporting the Solomon Islands' 'Rural Sustainable Development Project'. ——We will expand exchanges and cooperation in culture, education, health, sports, tourism, youth, think tanks, media, and local areas.
