As a major province of medical devices, as of the end of May 2023, Guangdong Province has a total of 27 A-share listed medical device manufacturers; There are 13577 valid Class II medical device registration certificates, 19403 Class I registration certificates, 2953 Class II and III medical device production enterprises, a total of 47 enterprises and 66 products have been recognized as innovative medical devices by the National Bureau, a total of 26 enterprises and 33 products have been approved for listing according to the innovation approval process, and 10 enterprises and 13 products have entered the priority approval process of the National Bureau. With the support of policies, the development of Guangdong's medical device industry is steadily improving. As of April of this year, through the "Hong Kong Macao Medical Equipment Connect" policy, the Guangdong Provincial Drug Administration has approved a total of 19 designated medical institutions, urgently requiring 23 imported drugs (55 batches in total) and 13 medical devices (15 batches in total), benefiting a total of 2237 people and meeting various medical needs of the people.
