Sichuan is the province where the Chinese Red Army has the worst natural environment, the longest march, the longest total mileage, the widest range of activities, the most campaigns and battles, and the most meetings during the Long March. It has composed heroic epics such as Battle of Chishui River, skillful crossing of Jinsha River, Yi Sea alliance, forced crossing of Dadu River, seizing Luding Bridge, climbing snow mountains, and crossing grasslands. In recent years, the history of the Red Army in Sichuan has become an important topic for research and publication. Conducting detailed investigation and recording around this historical event is also an important field of book publishing. Recently, the West China City Daily and the cover news reporter learned from the Sichuan People's Publishing House that in this series of books about the Red Army's Long March, "A Detailed Examination of the Route of the Red Army's Long March on the Grassland" and "A Detailed Examination of the Route of the Red Army's Long March on the Snow Mountain" were made into the documentary film "Chasing · Seeking". At present, the film has been produced, and a film viewing conference has been held in Jiangxi, Beijing, Hainan and Chengdu, and will be officially released in cinemas across the country in August this year. The drawing of the route map of the Red Army's Long March crossing snow mountains and grasslands, "Detailed Examination of the Red Army's Long March Crossing Snow Mountains and Grassland Marching Route," and "Detailed Examination of the Red Army's Long March Crossing Grassland Marching Route," is the result of the special project of the author Zhou Jun's field survey of the Red Army's Long March crossing snow mountains and grasslands. It consists of text, maps, and field survey photos, comprehensively describing the three main forces of the Red Army's Long March crossing snow mountains and grasslands and the detailed process. In order to draw a detailed and accurate route map for the Red Army's Long March through snow capped mountains and grasslands, the author of these two books, Zhou Jun, has been organizing civilian inspection teams since 2005 to conduct monthly inspections every year, surveying every grassland and snow capped mountain that the Red Army has traversed. The "Sketch Map of the Red Army's Long March through Snow Mountain" and "Sketch Map of the Red Army's Long March through Grassland" drawn by him were authorized by the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution, and were made into large plates 1.49 meters wide and 1.8 meters high. They were officially displayed in the "Red Army through Snow Mountain and Grassland" exhibition area of the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution from 2019, updating some inaccurate data and content over the years. The series of books fills the research gap in the history of the Red Army's Long March. Since 2014, Sichuan People's Publishing House has planned and published a series of themed books on the Red Army's Long March, There are "The Red Army's Long March in Sichuan (Revised Edition)", "The Red Army's Long March in Sichuan", "The Red Army's Long March through Snow Mountain March Route", "The Red Army's Long March through Grassland March Route", "Extraordinary Breakthrough - The Battle of Dadu River in 1935", "Extraordinary Track - The Red Army's Battle of Chishui River Battle to Cross Jinsha River", etc. This series of books systematically and vividly shows the glorious and difficult history of the Red Army's Long March in Sichuan with rich pictures and detailed historical data, and more completely and accurately reflects the major historical events of the Red Army's Long March in Sichuan, which makes up for the shortcomings of the previous rough and sketchy road map of the Red Army's Long March, and fills a gap in the field of research on the history of the Red Army's Long March. At the same time, it is also a pioneering foundation work for the Red Army's Long March historical sites and cultural relics to apply for world cultural heritage, which has positive practical significance for the development of Red tourism in Sichuan. At the recently held "Chasing · Searching" Chengdu Film Festival, all members of the "Red Army Long March Field Investigation Team on the Snow Mountain Grassland Marching Route" reunited on site.
