The newly revised Anti Spy Law of the China, which will come into force on July 1, provides a more powerful legal guarantee for safeguarding China's national security. China has always attached great importance to the construction of national security and the rule of law. In 1993, the State Security Law of the National Security Law of the People's Republic of China, the first special national security law of New China, was promulgated. Subsequently, a series of revised laws and regulations were introduced, providing important guarantees for maintaining national security on the track of the rule of law. Guided by the new National Security Act passed in 2015, more than 20 special national security legislations have been introduced in succession, more than 110 laws and regulations containing national security provisions have been formulated and revised in succession, important intra party laws and regulations such as the Regulations on the National Security Responsibility System of the Party Committee (Party Leadership Group) and the Regulations of the CPC on Leading National Security Work have been promulgated successively, and the construction of a national security legal system with Chinese characteristics has accelerated. The construction of the rule of law for national security provides a solid support for Security agency to fully perform their statutory functions and safeguard national security. As the competent authority for counter espionage work, the Security agency has always adhered to respecting the rule of law, building the rule of law, enforcing the rule of law, and defending the rule of law, and has made important special contributions to consolidating and defending the ruling position of the Party, safeguarding national sovereignty, security, and development interests, and adhering to and developing Socialism with Chinese characteristics. At present, the situation of anti espionage struggle is relatively severe, with traditional and non-traditional security threats intertwined. The subjects of various espionage intelligence activities are more complex, the fields are wider, the targets are more diverse, and the methods are more covert. Under the guidance of the overall national security concept, it is necessary to improve the anti espionage law to meet the needs of the new era's anti espionage struggle. We have strengthened the protection and supervision of anti espionage work and improved the legal system of anti espionage with Chinese characteristics.
