On the afternoon of June 25, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council held talks with Prime Minister Motley of List of prime ministers of Barbados who was paying an official visit to China in the Great Hall of the People. Li Qiang stated that Barbados is a good friend and partner of China in the Caribbean region. In the new situation, China is willing to further enhance strategic mutual trust with Pakistan, deepen cooperation in various fields, and build China Pakistan relations as a model of unity, cooperation, and mutual benefit for developing countries. China is willing to work with Pakistan to jointly build the "the Belt and Road" in high quality, support Pakistan's "economic recovery and transformation plan" to further link with global development initiatives, and enhance exchanges and cooperation in economy, trade, people to people and cultural exchanges and other fields. China encourages Chinese enterprises to invest and start business in Pakistan, and is willing to expand the import of Pakistan's advantageous products, continuing to provide assistance to Pakistan's economic and social development within its capabilities. Welcome Pakistan to rely on the China Caribbean Development Center to implement the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Li Qiang pointed out that China understands the situation and special concerns of Small Island Developing States in dealing with climate change and other aspects, and is willing to jointly seek solutions to financing difficulties, and support developing countries to accelerate energy transformation and achieve sustainable development. Motelli stated that the Pakistani side attaches great importance to Pakistan China relations, and both countries are committed to improving people's lives and promoting sustainable development. Pakistan is grateful to China for sending medical teams to Pakistan to provide strong support for Pakistan in combating the COVID-19. Pakistan is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in agriculture, energy, infrastructure construction, poverty reduction, tourism, culture, education and other fields, and work together to address global challenges such as climate change. Pakistan opposes "decoupling and chain breaking" and supports the maintenance of the multilateral trading system with the World Trade Organization as its core, as well as the stability of the international supply chain. After the meeting, the two prime ministers jointly witnessed the signing of multiple bilateral cooperation documents, including the implementation of the global development initiative, the blue economy, local cooperation, healthcare, news media, and more.
