The proposed winning results of national traditional Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations centralized procurement in quantity were announced recently. A total of 68 qualified drugs were selected for this centralized procurement with volume, with an average decrease of 49.36% for the selected varieties. It is expected that drug costs will be saved by over 4.5 billion yuan annually. The centralized purchase of traditional Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations was led by Hubei Province, and 30 provinces (districts and cities) including Beijing formed a purchasing alliance to carry out the centralized purchase of traditional Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations and related drugs in quantity. In the Xiangdan procurement group, Shanghai Liuhetang Biotechnology Xiangcheng Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. applied for the provincial procurement platform's lowest winning bid and online price for Xiangdan Injection (2ml per bottle, ampoule), which is 49.8 yuan per bottle. The proposed winning price will be reduced to 0.62 yuan per bottle, a decrease of over 98%; In the procurement team of Tenghuang Jiangu, the lowest winning bid and online price for the provincial procurement platform of Tenghuang Jiangu Wan (concentrated honey pill) from Jilin Yinhe Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is 192 yuan per box, and the proposed winning price is reduced to 7.75 yuan per box, a decrease of over 95%. The Hubei Provincial Medical Insurance Bureau stated that the dosage forms and specifications of the selected products in this centralized procurement are complete, and most of the mainstream products currently used in clinical use are selected, which can effectively meet the clinical medication needs. According to the annual procurement amount calculation of 30 provinces (districts, cities) alliance regions, it is expected to save over 4.5 billion yuan in drug costs annually, and the burden of patient drug costs is expected to be further reduced.
