Recently, multiple regions across the country have issued consecutive high temperature warnings, with some regions experiencing temperatures exceeding 40 ℃. Experts suggest that continuous high temperature weather can bring health risks to some key populations, and these populations need to strengthen health protection and scientifically prevent heatstroke. The "Guidelines for Public Health Protection Against High Temperature Heat Waves" previously released by the National Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention pointed out that there are mainly three categories of key groups for health protection against high temperature heat waves. The first category is sensitive groups, such as children, pregnant women, elderly people, and other groups; The second category is patients with chronic basic diseases, such as circulatory system diseases, Respiratory disease, mental and behavioral disorders, kidney diseases and diabetes; The third category is outdoor workers, such as farmers, construction workers, Sanitation worker, couriers, etc. "Heatstroke can be divided into four stages: threatened heatstroke, mild heatstroke, moderate heatstroke and severe heatstroke." Chi Cheng, deputy chief physician of the emergency department of the People's Hospital of Peking University, said that threatened heatstroke is mainly manifested by dizziness, fatigue, sweating, thirst and inattention. Afterwards, if the body temperature rises and fever occurs, but there is no change in consciousness, it enters the stage of mild heatstroke. If there is no intervention, the body temperature will continue to rise, reaching a high temperature of 40 ℃ to 42 ℃, accompanied by limb twitching and Disorders of consciousness, and then enter the stage of moderate heatstroke and severe heatstroke. The most severe form of heatstroke is severe heatstroke, also known as heat stroke, often accompanied by multiple organ failure. Chi Cheng reminds that people who work and exercise in high temperature and humidity environments for a long time, elderly people with poor physical fitness, children, pregnant women, and other groups are more likely to experience heatstroke, and these groups should pay special attention. How to prevent heatstroke in key populations? The National Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention reminds key populations to avoid living and working for long periods of time in high temperature and humidity environments as much as possible. They should have a light diet, pay attention to hydration, and combine work and rest. For sensitive groups such as children and pregnant women, it is encouraged that children who play outdoors should stay in a cool place as much as possible, while pregnant women and elderly people should try to stay indoors in a cool environment. For patients with chronic basic diseases, they should take the initiative to drink water in an appropriate amount for many times. They should not drink water only when they feel thirsty. If they need to take Diuretic or limit their water consumption due to diseases, they should ask the doctor about the reasonable water consumption in a timely manner. For outdoor workers, it is necessary to arrange outdoor work hours reasonably to prevent occupational heatstroke. Outdoor workers should undergo regular occupational health checks and emergency occupational health checks before and during their employment. What to do if a key group experiences heatstroke? Experts suggest that when symptoms of heatstroke occur, the patient should be transferred to a cool and ventilated place, the patient's sleeves and neckline should be unfastened, and the skin of the patient's limbs should be wiped with a cool towel, or ice packs should be applied to the patient's forehead, armpits, thigh roots, and other areas to accelerate cooling, and a fan or air conditioner should be used to lower the temperature of the environment. If the patient's consciousness is clear, it is best to assist them in drinking more water to replenish water, preferably a drink containing salt. In case of Disorders of consciousness, coma, respiratory and circulatory failure and other critical symptoms, the patient should call 120 immediately and seek medical advice in time.
