The loan term continues to extend. In the early stage of policy implementation, the term of the national student loan is 6 years after graduation to repay the loan principal and interest, which is an additional 6 years for the educational system and a maximum of 10 years. In 2020, the term of the student loan was extended to the length of education plus 15 years, with a maximum of 22 years. The scope of loans is constantly expanding. In 2017, the student loan has achieved full coverage of colleges, research institutes, party schools, administrative colleges, accounting colleges and other training units, and full coverage of full-time ordinary undergraduate and junior college students, graduate students, and preparatory students. Loan processing is more convenient. Education departments at all levels provide maximum convenience for students from financially disadvantaged families to apply for student loans through high school pre application, "one-stop" processing, and online processing.
