Recently, the handover ceremony for a new batch of minefields cleared by Chinese peacekeeping officers and soldiers was held near the "Blue Line" on the Lebanese Israeli border. After completing the acceptance inspection of the 8 minefields cleared by the 21st batch of multifunctional engineering units of China's peacekeeping operations in Lebanon, personnel from the United Nations Mine Action Center and other departments signed the minefield handover form. The Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, Lazaro, praised the excellent minesweeping skills of Chinese peacekeeping personnel and their outstanding completion of tasks. China plays an important role in maintaining world peace. Landmines and unexploded remnants of war pose a direct threat to the lives and property of the Lebanese people, and also seriously affect agricultural cultivation and infrastructure construction.
