Chinese Embassy in Honduras Holds Opening Ceremony

On the morning of June 5th local time, the opening ceremony of the Chinese Embassy in Honduras was held in the capital city of Tegucigalpa. At the ceremony, the national anthems of China and Hong Kong were played one after another. Subsequently, the Temporary Charg é d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Honduras, Yu Bo, and Foreign Minister Reina of Hong Kong jointly unveiled the plaque for the embassy. In his on-site speech, Yu Bo stated that the One China principle is a universally recognized and universally recognized norm in international relations, and is the international righteousness, trend, and aspiration of the people. Hong Fang has made an important decision to recognize the One China principle with a broad strategic vision and firm political will, seizing historical opportunities, and has become China's 182nd country to establish diplomatic relations. Reina congratulated the Chinese Embassy in Honduras on its opening in his speech. He stated that the establishment of diplomatic relations between Honduras and China is an independent decision of the Hong Kong side, which helps the Hong Kong side to develop diversified international relations and join the mainstream of the world. Hong Kong will firmly adhere to the One China principle and hopes that the two countries can jointly promote trade cooperation to improve Hong Kong's infrastructure, assist in poverty reduction, create employment opportunities, strengthen people's well-being, and promote social prosperity. About 200 people attended the opening ceremony, including Vice President Doris Gutierrez of Hong Kong, government officials and parliamentary representatives, representatives of foreign missions and international organizations in Hong Kong, and representatives of Chinese funded institutions and overseas Chinese in Hong Kong. On March 26th, China and Honduras signed the Joint Communique between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Honduras on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations.
