In terms of integration in the Bay Area, Guangzhou Metro has carried out a series of interconnected practices. Among them, in terms of interconnectivity between national railways and intercity railways, the Pearl River Delta intercity railway adopts the same technical standards as national railways. Taking the Guangzhou Zhuhai intercity railway as an example, this line can not only undertake the offline function of the Wuhan Guangzhou high-speed railway, but also achieve direct high-speed rail access to cities such as Jiangmen, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, etc; It can also achieve fast and direct transportation between the Pearl River Delta and other urban agglomerations by connecting directly with high-speed railways. In terms of interconnectivity between intercity railways and subways, the Pearl River Delta intercity railways and the Guangzhou Metropolitan Expressway adopt similar models, which meet the conditions for interconnectivity.
