On May 28th, the 2023 Guangzhou Science and Technology Week Campus Science and Technology Education Achievement Exchange and Exhibition Event, jointly organized by the Guangzhou Education Bureau, supported by the Guangzhou Science and Technology Bureau and the Guangzhou Association for Science and Technology, was held at the Datansha Campus of Shamian Primary School in Liwan District, Guangzhou. About 300 representatives from the Municipal Education Bureau, Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Municipal Association for Science and Technology, various district education bureaus, affiliated schools, relevant experts, and science and technology teachers attended the launch ceremony. The launch ceremony reviewed the 2022 Guangzhou Youth Science and Technology Education work in the form of a video. In recent years, Guangzhou's science and technology education work has adhered to the "Talent Plan" technology special training camp for scientific popularization and technological innovation, with significant results. Ecological civilization education has continued to deepen and completed the creation of 1500 green schools. In competition activities such as the National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition and the embryonic track of the College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Guangzhou ranks among the top in terms of performance. After the launch ceremony, a series of activities including on-site project demonstrations, educational and teaching exchanges and sharing, and symposiums were held around the themes of "Campus Science Planting Achievements", "Campus Ecological Civilization Achievements", "School Science and Technology Characteristic Development Achievements", and "Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Science and Technology Education Exchange and Cooperation Achievements". A total of 215 exhibition projects from the city, district, and various schools were exhibited in the gymnasium exhibition hall on the third floor of the comprehensive building and opened to the public. More than 300 people participated in the technology education experience exchange held in the conference room on the second floor of the comprehensive building. Representatives of technology teachers from units such as Guangzhou 97 Middle School Blue Sky School, Guangzhou Baiyun District Toupi Primary School, Guangzhou 17th Middle School, and Guangzhou Nansha District Lingdong Vocational and Technical School shared their experiences. Education bureaus and affiliated schools in each district also carry out themed educational seminars on "strengthening science and technology education in primary and secondary schools to promote 'double reduction' work".
