The Ministry of Education has issued a warning on preventing students from drowning
2023-05-26
Recently, temperatures across the country have rapidly risen, and the flood season is approaching, leading to a high incidence of drowning accidents. To effectively ensure the safety of students' lives, the Department of Basic Education of the Ministry of Education issued a warning on May 25th to prevent students from drowning, reminding all regions to focus on schools in rural areas, surrounding villages, and water areas along the way for students to and from school, comprehensively investigate safety hazards, improve safety warning signs, and configure safety protection facilities. Early warning requirements require schools to promote the "six no's" for drowning prevention at key time points such as school and before holidays, introduce common knowledge on drowning prevention safety, and ensure that drowning prevention education is implemented to every student. Primary and secondary schools in various regions should repeatedly remind parents to strengthen the management of drowning prevention education for their children and effectively manage the safety of students after school, weekends, and holidays by distributing a letter to parents, SMS, WeChat, and other means.
