In 2020, the "Tea Garden Tour" was selected as a recommended project in the fifth batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative projects. With the sound of gongs and drums, a grand parade team consisting of 13 squares, including the traditional praying square, Lingnan Cantonese rhyme square, resplendent intangible cultural heritage square, Dongguan copper cooperation square, Hong Kong and Macao compatriots square, beautiful rural square, and fashionable and trendy play square, appeared one by one. The parade started from Dongyue Park in Chashan Town, and along a 1.5-kilometer parade route, there were interactive tours, exhibitions, and performances. The fast-paced and imposing Jieyang Yingge dance, the Zhongshan Drunken Dragon, which combines techniques such as drunken boxing and acrobatics, and the lively Sha Tou Jiao Yu Deng dance... These national intangible cultural heritage projects sparked cheers from tourists upon their debut. The intangible cultural heritage exhibition projects in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, such as Qingxi Kirin Dance, Dalang Puppet Show, and White Eyebrow Fist, also have infinite charm. The Hong Kong and Macao compatriot formation, composed of 133 Hong Kong and Macao compatriots, showcases the tourism culture of Hong Kong and Macao during the parade. Nearly a hundred intangible cultural heritage items have appeared at the "Tea Garden Tour" in Dongguan.
