Nukualofa News: A 7.6 magnitude earthquake occurred in the waters near the island country of Tonga in the South Pacific on the 11th. There are currently no reports of casualties or property damage. According to the Earthquake Information Network of the United States Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred at 5:2 local time on the 11th (00:2 Beijing time), with the epicenter located in the sea area 75 kilometers northwest of Xixifu, Tonga, and the focal depth of 210 kilometers. The US Geological Survey initially measured the magnitude of the earthquake at 7.4, then adjusted it to 7.6. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center did not issue a tsunami warning for this earthquake.
