Reykjavik News: Coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Free Trade Agreement between China and Iceland, in order to further promote economic and trade cooperation between China and Iceland, the first China Iceland E-commerce Live Week opened on the 8th in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. This live broadcast week was jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in Iceland and the Icelandic Ministry of Culture and Commerce, with the assistance of the Icelandic Business Promotion Bureau and the Magic Ice Group. The event will invite the anchor team from the Tiktok e-commerce platform to conduct a week-long business survey and live broadcast of cargo activities in Iceland, and hold a Sino Icelandic e-commerce cooperation seminar. At the launch ceremony held on the 8th, Chinese Ambassador to Iceland, He Rulong, stated that as the world's largest online retail market, China is willing to engage in mutually beneficial e-commerce cooperation with Iceland and share the development opportunities of the digital economy through openness. I hope to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in e-commerce between the two sides through this event and inject new momentum into bilateral relations. Paulson, General Director of Commerce and Tourism Affairs at the Icelandic Ministry of Culture and Commerce, said that Chinese consumers are at the forefront of the world in daily e-commerce applications, and many Icelandic companies have tasted the sweetness of conducting online sales in the Chinese market. We hope that both sides can find more cooperation opportunities through live streaming weeks and work together to promote e-commerce cooperation between China and Iceland. Nearly a hundred people, including representatives from the Icelandic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Commerce, the Business Promotion Bureau, and the business community, attended the event on that day. In April 2013, China and Iceland signed the Free Trade Agreement, which was the first free trade agreement signed between China and European countries. (New News Agency)
