According to the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism on the landing page of the Guangdong Museum Collection Database, after two years of construction, the Guangdong Museum Collection Database has been put into use and is open to all levels of cultural relics regulatory departments in Guangdong Province and registered museums throughout the province. This database includes four modules: "Comprehensive Portal", "Collection Management", "Digital Resources", and "System Management". It has five functions: Collection Business Management, Collection Data Management, Collection Data Interlibrary Sharing, Collection Data Social Disclosure, and Collection Knowledge Graph. The cultural relics management department can use this database to dynamically grasp the quantity and management status of cultural relics in the area. Museums can use this database for collection business management, conduct in-depth analysis of collection data, achieve cross museum collaboration in research, display, and dissemination, and gradually promote the public sharing of cultural relics collection data. The collection database of Guangdong Museum has three prominent advantages: firstly, it is compatible with multiple categories and covers a comprehensive range. On the basis of the first national movable cultural relics census data and the record data of non-state-owned museum collections in Guangdong Province, this database also includes data on state-owned and non-state-owned museum collections in Guangdong Province, achieving full coverage of museum collections in the province. Secondly, it is collaborative management to reduce costs. This database achieves centralized management and unified maintenance of the provincial collection database by reasonably setting data operation permissions, while ensuring the security of collection data. It not only achieves collaborative management between the cultural relics management department and cultural relics collection units, but also effectively reduces the technical threshold and maintenance management costs of informationization in the management of small and medium-sized museum collections in the province. Furthermore, it is necessary to construct a graph for easy utilization. This database has a knowledge graph function, which intuitively displays various information of museum collections. Currently, the overall level of Guangdong museums and the development of non-state-owned museums are at the forefront of the country.
