On the same day, the conference reviewed the history of cultural heritage protection in Asian countries in recent years and issued the "Xi'an Declaration of the Asian Cultural Heritage Protection Alliance" (hereinafter referred to as the "Xi'an Declaration"). This not only shows the CPC's consistent open and inclusive attitude towards human civilization, but also shows our own experience in protecting cultural heritage in the new era and the achievements in assisting Asian countries in related work, which further highlights the direction of deepening exchanges among Asian civilizations in the future. Civilization loses its vitality due to complacency, and is full of vitality due to exchange and mutual learning. In the new era, China actively promotes comprehensive cultural cooperation with countries around the world, especially in Asia. At the May 2019 Asian Civilization Dialogue Conference, "China will collaborate with Asian countries to carry out an action to protect Asian cultural heritage" became one of the conference outcomes; In 2021, ten Asian countries jointly launched the Asian Cultural Heritage Protection Alliance, and 27 countries jointly released the "Initiative on Jointly Carrying out Asian Cultural Heritage Protection Action"; In 2023, we first put forward the "Global Civilization Initiative" at the high-level dialogue between the CPC and the world political parties, and then released the Xi'an Declaration at the first conference of the Asian Cultural Heritage Conservation Alliance. After multiple responses and joint efforts, the Asian Cultural Heritage Conservation Alliance has begun to take shape and achieved fruitful results. The protection of cultural heritage requires both speakers and activists. Civilization is the heritage of our ancestors, the asset of the world, and the immovable property of humanity. On the path of realizing their own modernization, countries should not only grasp the common characteristics of modernization, but also base themselves on their own national conditions and have their own characteristics. The existing civilization is undoubtedly the most fundamental national condition and prominent feature. In the 10 years of the new era, from the Mogao Grottoes of Dunhuang to Guanghan Sanxingdui, from the project of exploring the origin of Chinese civilization to the strategy of five national cultural parks, China has made remarkable achievements in the protection of cultural heritage. At the same time, we have accumulated a certain amount of valuable experience in practice, and therefore adhere to the position of being independent and capable. In the "Global Civilization Initiative", we jointly advocate for the importance of civilization inheritance and innovation, fully tap into the historical and cultural values of various countries, and promote the creative transformation and innovative development of excellent traditional cultures in various countries in the modernization process. If we say so, it's even more like we act. Counting 56 world heritage sites in China, some are exemplary examples of protecting them together with neighboring countries. The "Silk Road: Chang'an Tianshan Corridor Road Network" jointly declared with Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan belongs to the cross-border heritage of joint efforts by several parties. In addition, China has collaborated on 11 historical sites protection and restoration projects in 6 Asian countries such as Cambodia, and more than 20 joint archaeological collaborations with 14 Asian countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, and Saudi Arabia.
