The reporter learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on the 23rd that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Central Cyberspace Office, the National Development and Reform Commission and other eight departments jointly issued the Implementation Opinions on Promoting IPv6 Technology Evolution and Application Innovation Development, aiming to give full play to the potential and technical advantages of IPv6 protocol, and better meet the higher requirements of 5G, cloud network integration, Industrial Internet, Internet of Things and other scenarios for network carrying. The implementation opinions are clear. By the end of 2025, China's IPv6 technology evolution and application innovation will have achieved significant results, with significantly enhanced network technology innovation capabilities. The application scope of innovative technologies such as "IPv6+" will be further expanded, and the level of integrated application of "IPv6+" in key industries will be significantly improved. In order to promote the implementation and effectiveness of the implementation opinions, 15 key tasks have been deployed in five aspects: building an IPv6 evolution technology system, strengthening the innovation industry foundation of IPv6 evolution, accelerating the evolution and development of IPv6 infrastructure, deepening the integrated application of the "IPv6+" industry, and improving security capabilities. For example, in building the IPv6 evolution technology system, the implementation opinions require promoting the integration and innovation of IPv6 with 5G, artificial intelligence, cloud computing and other technologies, systematically promoting the formulation and implementation of IPv6 national standards and industry integration application standards, and improving the contribution rate and influence of international standards. The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will work with relevant departments to continuously increase investment and support in policies, standards, industries, applications, and other fields, promote the widespread application of "IPv6+" technology in industries such as government affairs, finance, energy, transportation, and support the independent creation of more than 50 "IPv6+innovation cities" in various regions, and create key industry and regional development benchmarks.
