Farming is the foundation of our country. To do a good job in the work of rural talents in the new era, it is necessary to build a team of rural revitalization talents with sufficient quantity, reasonable structure, and excellent quality, encourage various talents to showcase their talents in the vast rural world, and provide solid talent support for rural revitalization. The key to rural revitalization lies in people. The aging population, shortage of talents, and inability to retain people in rural areas are currently important factors that constrain the development of agriculture, rural areas, and farmers. Whether cultivating characteristic agriculture or promoting agricultural technological innovation, talent support is indispensable. To develop agriculture and revitalize rural areas, it is necessary to cultivate a group of "soil experts", "field talents", and agricultural professional managers who are rooted in rural areas, so that various talents can showcase their skills in the vast countryside and lay a solid foundation for agricultural and rural development. The many problems faced by rural revitalization require the assistance of talents and technology to solve. In recent years, the effective combination of talent and technology has provided strong impetus for the development of agriculture and rural areas. Especially, universities and research institutions have consciously fulfilled their responsibilities, making rural revitalization an important base for talent cultivation, a forefront of academic research, and a strategic location for serving society. Technological innovation has been implanted into the fertile soil of rural revitalization, and talent vitality has been used to stimulate new driving forces for rural revitalization. For example, Tsinghua University paired up with Nanjian County in Yunnan Province to carry out targeted assistance work, helping Nanjian achieve poverty alleviation one year ahead of schedule. Through measures such as establishing a rural revitalization workstation, initiating the establishment of a rural construction university alliance, and launching the "Hundred Schools, Hundred Counties, and Thousand Villages" initiative, Tsinghua University participated in the service of rural revitalization strategy, accelerated the cultivation of professional talents in rural construction, and enabled young talents to achieve themselves in serving national development. Leading rural revitalization with industrial revitalization also requires the assistance of talents. Promoting the development and growth of rural industries is the key to expanding the channels for farmers to increase their income and become rich. To expand the scale of rural industries, we need to start with improving varieties, quality, and brand level, adapt to the consumption needs of urban and rural residents, do a good job in "local specialties", and seek benefits from developing multiple agricultural functions and tapping into the diverse value of rural areas. In this process, there is a need for a cadre team with strong political skills, skills, and work style, as well as local talents who are familiar with and love the land. Moreover, there is a need for "new farmers" who dare to innovate and have broad perspectives. Wei Qiao and his lover have a master's degree in soil science and a doctoral degree in agriculture. In 2017, the two resigned from their jobs at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Peking University and returned to Zhenjiang to engage in agricultural production, establishing a smart farm with over 20000 acres of digital management.
