Recently, it was learned from the press conference on the inheritance and development of Tibetan medicine in the Tibet Autonomous Region that Tibet has basically established a Tibetan medicine service system centered around Lhasa and covering the entire region. As of now, there are a total of 49 public Tibetan medical hospitals and 13 private Tibetan medical hospitals in the region. The annual outpatient number of Tibetan doctors has reached over 3.34 million, and the annual inpatient number has reached over 24000. The coverage rate of Tibetan medicine services in community health service centers, township health centers, and village health clinics in the entire district has increased from 50%, 71%, and 15% in 2012 to 100%, 94.4%, and 42.4%, respectively. In terms of scientific research innovation and standardization construction, the Tibet Autonomous Region Tibetan Hospital has built a clinical research base for ethnic medicine. At the same time, more than 300 ancient books and literature were collected and organized, and 100000 prescriptions of famous and experienced Tibetan doctors were sorted out, as well as the selection and research of 34 classic Tibetan medicine prescriptions.
