The solid-state hydrogen storage development project in the national key research and development plan has recently achieved grid connected power generation in Guangzhou, Guangdong and Kunming, Yunnan. This is the first time that China has made solid hydrogen energy from photovoltaic power generation and successfully applied it to the power system, which is of great significance for promoting large-scale hydrogen production from renewable energy and accelerating the construction of a new power system. It is reported that the Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau's electric hydrogen smart energy station located on Xiaohu Island in Nansha, Guangzhou has a total of 7 solid-state hydrogen storage devices with different storage capacities, which can store 90 kilograms of hydrogen. Southern Power Grid Yunnan Power Grid Company has established a comprehensive demonstration base for hydrogen production, storage, and utilization that integrates liquid and solid hydrogen storage.
