Recently, the National Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Center released the National Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Annual Report (2022). The Report indicates that there is no significant change in the reporting of adverse drug reactions/events in 2022 compared to 2021. In the report of adverse drug reactions/events in 2022, the overall situation of national essential drug monitoring remained basically stable, with the number of anti infective drug reports still ranking first. According to the Report, in 2022, chemical drugs accounted for 82.3% of adverse drug reactions/events, traditional Chinese medicine accounted for 12.8%, biological products accounted for 2.6%, and unclassified drugs accounted for 2.3%; The number of adverse reactions/events reported by anti infective drugs accounts for 28.0% of the total number of reports, still ranking first. Among the chemicals involved in the adverse drug reactions/events report in 2022, the top 5 categories with the highest number of cases were anti infective drugs, tumor drugs, cardiovascular system drugs, analgesics, electrolyte acid base balance, and nutritional drugs. In 2022, among the chemicals involved in serious adverse drug reactions/events, the most reported amount was cancer drugs, accounting for 35.1%; The second is anti infective drugs, accounting for 27.8%. The Report points out that from the perspective of chemical drug categories, the number of adverse reactions/events reported by anti infective drugs still ranks first, but the proportion continues to maintain a downward trend, suggesting that the clinical use of anti infective drugs may be more reasonable. However, the number of reports of serious adverse reactions is still high, and drug use risks still need to be paid attention to. In addition, the proportion of adverse drug reactions/events reported on cancer drugs continues to increase, with the proportion of serious reports ranking first, suggesting that clinical attention should always be paid to the risks of such drugs. According to the Report, in terms of the age of patients involved in adverse drug reactions, the proportion of children aged 14 and below has again decreased, and the overall safety is still good; The proportion of elderly patients aged 65 and above still maintains an upward trend, suggesting that clinical practice should continue to strengthen the management of safe medication for elderly patients.
