It was once one of the villages in Wulong District where drinking water is most difficult. Since 2021, the Ministry of Water Resources has upgraded the Hexin Water Plant, adding an intelligent water quality sampling and analysis system, intelligent control system, and digital monitoring platform, improving the water quality testing laboratory, and standardizing the construction of water sources, making it the first rural water plant in Wulong District to achieve fully intelligent operation.
