"At the most difficult time at home, it was the organization that helped me. I must serve with peace of mind and work hard to train!" A few days ago, a soldier from an information and communication brigade, Xiao Yu, returned from training and learning that his father had received compensation for work-related injuries, the stone in his heart finally fell to the ground. Half a year ago, Xiaoyu's father fell from a height and was injured while working in an old household. The unit where my father works did not purchase work injury insurance for him as required, and delayed in communicating compensation matters. The huge cost of treatment has made it even worse for families who are not wealthy. Xiao Yu, who is in the military camp, is in low spirits and suffers from daily training. After learning about the relevant situation, the brigade leader realized that if the families of officers and soldiers encounter legal and litigation related issues that cannot be properly resolved in a timely manner, it will inevitably affect the enthusiasm of officers and soldiers in preparing for war. After thorough research and judgment, they assigned special personnel to Xiaoyu's hometown to assist in safeguarding their rights. Through close communication with the local Ministry of Human Resources and Armed Forces and relevant government departments, Xiao Yu's father was identified as an industrial injury, and his employer paid compensation in accordance with the law. "Safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of military personnel and doing a good job in protecting the rights and interests of officers and soldiers is a specific measure to implement the expectations of the grassroots level and the urgent handling by the government, which is conducive to stimulating the enthusiasm of officers and soldiers in training and preparing for war, and enhancing the sense of honor and mission of the soldiers." The leader of the brigade introduced that due to the large number of units, lines, and areas, many officers and soldiers have long periods of time outside the home, heavy training tasks, and practical problems such as insufficient care for families, and difficulty in handling conflicts. To effectively alleviate the worries of officers and soldiers, they have launched a series of rights protection services to help them reduce pressure and increase motivation. By opening a legal service consultation hotline, they quickly grasped clues to legal and litigation issues involving officers, soldiers, and families, timely updated the standing book of rights protection issues, and accurately formulated rights protection service plans. Build a "online+offline" and "remote+local" military-civilian cooperation mechanism based on practical issues, proactively open communication links with relevant local departments, actively coordinate legal assistance, and follow up the progress of problem handling through multiple interactions. In addition, the brigade also relies on "two teams" training to explain common legal issues and cases, and gradually builds a strong legal backbone team. Through regular activities to learn and apply laws and regulations, carry out law popularization and lectures, continuously strengthen the legal thinking and literacy of officers and soldiers, and guide them to take up legal weapons to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests. The director of the political work department of the brigade introduced that they are integrating their forces, selecting a group of officers and soldiers with legal expertise to form a legal service team, carrying out activities of "sending the law to the grassroots level", and actively expanding local legal resources to further improve the quality and efficiency of rights protection services. In recent years, the brigade has properly handled dozens of legal and litigation related issues involving officers and soldiers' families, effectively enhancing their sense of honor and gaining a strong positive energy for military training and preparation.
