On the 19th, the celebration of the first anniversary of the opening and operation of the Belgrade Novisad section of the Hungarian Serbian railway in Serbia was held in the northern Serbian city of Novisad. Over the past year of safe and orderly operation, the Benio section has sent a total of 2.93 million passengers, providing convenience for Serbian personnel exchanges and promoting economic development along the line. Serbian Prime Minister Brnabic, together with Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Wesic, Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo, and representatives from the Serbian government and Chinese enterprises, took a high-speed railway train from Belgrade Central Railway Station to Novisad Railway Station on the same day. In his speech, Brnabic spoke highly of the contribution of the Hungarian Serbian Railway to the development of Serbia. She said that Serbia opened and operated the Hungarian Serbian Railway a year ago, which became an important turning point for Serbia's further development. Brnabic also spoke highly of the achievements achieved in the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Serbia and China. She said that the results of cooperation are not only reflected in important infrastructure projects, trade and investment, but also reflected in the increasing exchanges between the two countries in science and technology. Chen Bo expressed that the Benio section is a symbol and model of mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Serbia. Over the past year, the Beni section has operated well, bringing great convenience to the travel of the Serbian people and foreign tourists. Chinese enterprises are currently accelerating the construction of the Novisad-Subotica section of the Hungarian Serbian railway with the support of Serbian partners, and believe that this section will make new contributions to the economic development of Serbia and further strengthen Sino Serbian cooperation. Ju Guojiang, Chairman of China Railway International Co., Ltd., stated at the ceremony that he would take the first anniversary of the opening of the Beinuo section as an opportunity to fully promote the construction of the Beinuo Suzhou section and strive to complete and open to traffic with high quality as soon as possible. The Hungarian Cypriot Railway Project is a landmark project of cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries, and it is also the docking of China's railway technology and equipment with the European Union's technical specifications for railway connectivity. The total length of the Hungarian Serbian railway is about 350 kilometers, connecting Belgrade and the Hungarian capital Budapest. The length of the railway in Serbia is 183 kilometers, and the design maximum speed is 200 kilometers per hour. The Beinuo section, with a total length of about 80 kilometers, was put into operation on March 19th last year. Over the past year, more than 50 passenger trains have been operated on a daily basis in the Benio section, with more than 8200 passengers being sent, with a maximum of 14400 passengers being sent per day, with a total of 2.93 million passengers being sent.
