On March 19th, the 7th China Industrial Award, representing the highest award in China's industrial field, was unveiled in Beijing. Among them, Chengdu Zhongcai Building Materials Optoelectronic Materials Co., Ltd. has successfully won the China Industry Award for its independently developed power generation glass technology. The China Industrial Award is approved and established by the State Council. Among the award-winning enterprises and projects of this year, 19 enterprises and 19 projects have won the China Industry Award, 26 enterprises and 22 projects have won the China Industry Award recognition award, and 17 enterprises and 20 projects have won the China Industry Award nomination award. The award-winning project of Chengdu Zhongcai Building Materials Optoelectronic Materials Co., Ltd. is a key technology development and industrialization project for large-scale cadmium telluride power generation glass. Through a complete set of independently innovative technologies, the company has transformed a piece of ordinary glass that was originally insulated into a semiconductor material that can both conduct electricity and generate electricity, making "electricity when there is light" a reality. It is understood that cadmium telluride power generation glass is a semiconductor material that can conduct electricity and generate electricity. A power generation glass with an area of about 2 square meters can generate 270 degrees of electricity annually, and only two or three pieces of glass can meet a family's annual electricity consumption. This research and development achievement has obtained a total of 34 patents, of which 19 invention patents are independent core technology patents in China, realizing the "intelligent manufacturing of cadmium telluride power generation glass in China". Cadmium telluride power generation glass has been widely used in government, schools, hospitals and other public buildings, as well as in the construction of curtain walls for commercial supermarkets and factory buildings. Currently, the annual production capacity of cadmium telluride power generation glass of Chengdu Zhongcai Building Materials Co., Ltd. is about 100 megawatts. It is estimated that the annual power generation capacity can reach 113.77 million kilowatt hours, saving 39138 tons of standard coal annually, and reducing 118967 tons of carbon dioxide annually. It is worth mentioning that this is the second Chengdu enterprise to win this award after Kanghong Pharmaceutical. In addition, Yibin Wuliangye Co., Ltd. and Sichuan Yinhe Chemical Co., Ltd. also received the recognition award and nomination award of the 7th China Industrial Award, respectively.
