On March 14, 2023, the Japanese Consulate General in Guangzhou held the "Japanese Sake Master Class" event at the China (Shenzhen) International Famous Wine Exhibition at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. Consul General Kamei said in his opening speech that there are many Sake wineries throughout Japan, and various styles of brewing techniques bring rich and colorful flavors and aroma. I hope to deepen the public's understanding of Japanese sake through this event, and look forward to providing the audience with the opportunity to personally taste sake. The special guest speaker of the event, Mr. Zhou Xiaolin, an international Japanese sake lecturer, introduced the basic knowledge of the brewing process, classification, and characteristics of Japanese sake to the audience in simple terms. During the on-site tasting, the characteristics of three types of sake (※ remarks) were also explained in detail. The audience expressed their deep understanding of the brewing process of Japanese sake through this activity, and also felt the unique flavor of different types of sake. The main venue of the China (Shenzhen) International Famous Wine Exhibition gathered a large number of visitors from the liquor circulation industry. The museum hopes to attract more attention from those who have little or no understanding of Japanese sake and Japanese food culture by holding a master class event in the famous wine exhibition, so as to enhance the public's understanding of Japanese sake and promote the development of sake. The museum said that it plans to continue holding related activities in the future to further deepen the public's understanding of Japanese sake and Japanese food culture.
