According to the statistics of Changsha Customs, the countries along the "the Belt and Road" are the largest markets for Hunan's automobile exports. In the first two months, Hunan exported 8767 vehicles to countries along the "the Belt and Road", accounting for more than 70% of the total exports. The export of 7079 vehicles to Europe increased by more than four times year-on-year, with exports to Eastern Europe accounting for 74.7% of the total exports to Europe. Among them, domestic independent brands have made outstanding achievements, such as BYD Changsha, which ranked first in the export of electric carrier vehicles in Hunan Province in the first two months, mainly sold to countries such as India; Geely Hunan ranks first in the export of traditional fuel vehicles, mainly sold to places such as Belarus. On March 18, the Guangdong Branch of the General Administration of Customs released data that the export of electric passenger vehicles in Guangdong increased 15.4 times in the first two months of this year. On the same day, the Nansha Automobile Port of Guangzhou Port announced that in the first two months of this year, the export volume of Nansha Automobile Port increased by 93% year-on-year. In addition, many domestic independent brand car manufacturers have also released good news. Recently, BYD announced that British electric vehicle company Octopus EV will purchase 5000 electric vehicles from BYD within the next three years. According to data released by BAIC Group, in the first two months of this year, BAIC Group exported a total of 24000 complete vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 61.34%. Among them, the export of BAIC International in the autonomous passenger vehicle sector increased significantly by 132.7%. SAIC Motor Group revealed that its overseas sales exceeded 160000 vehicles in the first two months of this year, with a year-on-year growth of 31.9%. SAIC Motor Group's overseas market will hit the sales target of 1.2 million this year. It is reported that in 2022, China's automobile exports reached 3.4 million units, surpassing Germany and becoming the world's second largest automobile exporter. This is the first time that China has surpassed Germany in this figure. After entering 2023, China exported 301000 vehicles in January, surpassing Japan's 256200, and China's automobile export volume has become the world's largest. Changsha customs staff told reporters, "The rapid growth of Hunan's automobile exports is not accidental.
