The Russian multi-function "ray" relay satellite system was put into use in December 2015. In addition to the "ray - 5X" launched on the same day, there are three satellites in orbit, including "ray - 5A", "ray - 5B" and "ray - 5C". The three satellites were launched in 2011, 2012 and 2014 respectively.
